Cori brings more than 25 years of civil trial and appellate experience in both State and Federal Courts. She has represented a wide range of clients — from individuals and small business owners to large corporations and nonprofit organizations — with skill and dedication.
Cori earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin (1993) and her J.D., cum laude, from Texas Southern University (1997). She is licensed to practice in Texas and New Mexico and admitted before the United States Supreme Court, multiple U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, and numerous Federal District Courts across the country. Her excellence in practice has been consistently recognized: she has been named a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2008.
In 2013, Cori was appointed as an Associate Judge for the City of El Paso, where she has presided over hundreds of bench trials. She also brings a unique perspective to her judicial and legal work, having served as a juror in a complex civil case.
Cori is frequently appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for children in cases involving medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other negligence matters.
